About The Position

SRC is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support Naval CB-ISEA engineering efforts (SATCOM and communications systems) in San Diego. This role focuses on site reliability, sustainment, and troubleshooting for shipboard and shore connected communications environments, including SATCOM transport, ADNS, routing, switching, firewalls, interfaces, and related system services. Supporting technical issue resolution, Surface Afloat ADNS configuration and integration, test and installation activities, network diagrams, configuration records, troubleshooting procedures, and customer status updates Coordinating with government customers, shipboard personnel, cybersecurity teams, vendors, logisticians, and engineering stakeholders to maintain operational availability and resolve mission impacting issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, physics, operations research, or statistics
  • Minimum five years of experience designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or managing complex networked systems across multiple platforms, operating systems, and network topologies
  • Minimum three years of experience in systems engineering, network engineering, information operations, cybersecurity, architecture, or mission critical troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting Navy or DoD communications environments, preferably involving SATCOM, ADNS, CANES, afloat networks, or shore to ship connectivity
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, network security, monitoring, and packet level troubleshooting
  • Experience with tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, ACAS/Nessus, Splunk, or equivalent monitoring and diagnostic platforms
  • Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including information assurance policies, STIGs, vulnerability management, RMF support, or security documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CSWF / IAT Level II compliance, typically requiring Security+ CE or an equivalent approved certification
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Automated Digital Network System, ADNS, including Surface Afloat ADNS integration, sustainment, troubleshooting, or configuration support
  • Experience supporting CB ISEA, NIWC PAC, NIWC LANT, PEO C4I, PMW programs, or Navy afloat modernization
  • Experience supporting SATCOM reliability, shipboard communications, tactical networks, RF to IP transport, or baseband network environments
  • Experience with shipboard installations, site surveys, system testing, SOVTs, cutovers, or post installation troubleshooting
  • Experience with virtualization, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, VMware, or Hyper V
  • Desired certifications include CCNA, CCNP, Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, GICSP, VMware VCP, or ITIL Foundation
  • Top Secret preferred
