Raytheon’s Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities directorate is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support hardware and software integration activities for the family of Patriot programs, including development and fielded Patriot equipment within the Andover-based Patriot Labs.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, and/or FORTRAN 77
  • Experience with Linux and/or UNIX.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience identifying and troubleshooting issues with hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken
  • Experience with radar systems or complex military systems
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal, and written
  • Experience with instrumentation and/or test equipment, i.e (oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the successful technical execution of complex integration and test events
  • Perform daily test execution and troubleshooting activities within an engineering laboratory environment
  • Use working knowledge of software programming to support complex software and hardware integration testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop expertise in program-specific hardware and software interfaces
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and resolving software and hardware issues, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken
  • Utilize working knowledge of Linux/UNIX to troubleshoot and configure assets to meet customer needs
