About The Position

RTX is hiring an entry-level Systems Engineer I, Signal Processing, for an onsite position in Tucson, Arizona. The role supports the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of radar frequency (RF) or Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) algorithms and models. These signal-processing algorithms support sensor-data calibration and de-noising, detection, acquisition, tracking and classification of objects of interest, and sensor fusion. The engineer will work in engineering lab environments to test, verify, and validate RF or EO/IR models and signal-processing algorithm performance against requirements. The role also integrates algorithms into tactical system hardware and software and evaluates their functionality and impact. The engineer develops documentation, executes plans, analyzes data, verifies requirements, and communicates results to leadership and stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM major by the start date; experience developing scripts and functions in MATLAB or Python to evaluate data sets; and experience with C or C++. Experience may come from work, research, coursework, or projects. U.S. citizenship is required, and an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required before the start date; the posting also states the ability to obtain an interim clearance is required before the start date.
