Systems Engineer I - Tac Comm (Onsite)
About The Position
This position is for a Systems Engineer I - Tac Comm role, requiring the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. The role involves performing analysis, architecture, and design at all levels of the total system product, from concept to disposal. Responsibilities include translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, decomposing customer specifications and system-level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and developing verification criteria and plans. The role also entails technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production.
- Experience with communicating between program stakeholders.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, C++, and Python.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis, architecture, and design at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develops verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions.
