About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join our Space and Air, Electronic Warfare & Signal Processing Department, where you’ll help shape, define, and design advanced communication solutions that support military missions around the globe. This role is onsite in Goleta, CA. What You Will Do Collaborate with a dedicated, high-performing team driving the development of airborne and ground communication products, delivering secure, mission-critical solutions to our customers. Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including trade studies, system architecture, requirements definition and allocation, traceability, integration, verification, and qualification. Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful execution of key program milestones. Provide systems engineering support for bids and proposals, contributing to technical strategy and solution development. Perform daily tasks in a classified and controlled lab environment. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with communicating between program stakeholders.
  • Experience with engineering or modeling tools such as DOORS and Cameo, as well as programming languages like Python or Rust.
