About The Position

This role involves integrating and managing diverse data streams across enterprise networks and systems. The Systems Engineer - Expert will configure, operate, and troubleshoot data transfer tools, establish data standards, and analyze complex networks, systems, and log data. Responsibilities include monitoring and resolving issues affecting data feeds and system performance, supporting environments with shared networks and multiple security enclaves, and using Splunk for data analysis and investigation. The position also requires developing automation scripts, implementing SecDevOps practices and cloud security controls across various cloud environments, and supporting PKI implementation, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and security hardening. Additionally, the role involves engineering and supporting virtualized environments and providing systems engineering and network analysis expertise to enhance reliability, security, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Polygraph
  • A minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience
  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in a related field of study
  • Must be a AWS Certified Security Specialty
  • Experience integrating diverse data streams and data transfer tools (Ex: NiFi, Cribl, etc)
  • Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems, and log data from various network components and operating systems
  • Knowledge of the complex environment involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves
  • Systems Engineering with network analyst/engineering background
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot data feeds
  • Splunk familiarization
  • Python
  • Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps)
  • Expertise with Splunk
  • Expertise with Scripting tools to include Python, ShellScript, or Ansible
  • Expertise with Cloud security controls and implementation
  • Expertise with PKI implementation

Responsibilities

  • Support PKI implementation, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and security hardening efforts.
  • Engineer and support virtualized environments, including VDI and VMware platforms.
  • Provide systems engineering and network analysis expertise to improve reliability, security, and operational performance.
