Systems Engineer - Enterprise Cloud

About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking an Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and evaluating cloud systems that support a global enterprise solution, primarily utilizing Azure services (Intune, MDE, Entra, Azure IaaS). The engineer will apply security best practices to all phases of cloud implementation and integration, plan and execute the implementation and maintenance of the enterprise cloud solution, and develop and manage cloud solution roadmaps that align with business objectives and company strategy. Responsibilities also include analyzing cloud requirements to assess the feasibility of designs within time and cost constraints, collaborating with other engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, and automating the gathering, scripting, packaging, and deployment of approved software to the enterprise. The role requires utilizing software development principles and open-source solutions to automate tasks related to the management of products and services, resolving complex technical problems, creating and refining procedures, facilitating clear communication across teams, and researching and producing high-quality technical documentation.

Requirements

2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Proven experience in designing, developing, and evaluating enterprise-level cloud solutions, specifically with Microsoft Azure services (Intune, MDE, Entra, Azure IaaS).
Deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
Proficiency in scripting, automation, and deployment technologies.
Experience with software development methodologies and open-source tools to build automation solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Ability to develop and execute strategic technical roadmaps.

Responsibilities
