Systems Engineer / DevOps
About The Position
Deploy is an intelligence infrastructure platform providing access to open source and proprietary AI models. Its infrastructure includes company-operated data centers with GPU resources and a hybrid AWS environment. The DevOps and Systems team supports the reliability of Deploy’s SaaS offering and enables developers to deploy servers without downtime. The role is suited to someone comfortable in an unstructured, fast-paced environment who takes automation seriously. The Systems Engineer / DevOps role maintains and secures infrastructure, improves workflows for developer, data, and machine learning teams, and manages integration and deployment tooling. The position participates in on-call rotations and root cause analysis. The posted expected base salary range is $120,000–$180,000; actual compensation may vary, and stock options may be offered in addition.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of previous experience in development, operations, IT, or a related field.
- Comfort working on Linux infrastructure (Debian) via the command line interface.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently independently.
- Ability to physically lift equipment weighing at least 30 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams and management levels.
Nice To Haves
- A degree in computer science or a similar field is an added plus.
- Experience or familiarity with the technologies listed in the Technology Stack section.
Responsibilities
- Automate manual operational processes.
- Improve workflows for developer, data, and machine learning teams.
- Manage integration and deployment tooling.
- Create, maintain, monitor, secure, and audit infrastructure.
- Manage a diverse array of technology platforms, following best practices and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and root cause analysis.
- Utilize OWASP Top 10 techniques to secure code from vulnerabilities.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance and handling as they relate to the role.
- Adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets.
- Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations or breaches to an appropriate authority.
