Systems Engineer - Data & Automation
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with database and data automation expertise to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that streamline manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and support enterprise financial management systems. The role includes working with Momentum Financials, Oracle databases, scripting, and automated job scheduling. The Systems Engineer will develop and optimize database queries and processes, support Momentum Financials operations and integrations, maintain automated workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with technical and functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Momentum Financials database structures and software functionality.
- Experience with Jenkins, Control-M, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, or comparable scheduling/pipeline tools.
- Experience using GitHub for source code management.
- Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or other command-line scripting.
- Experience with SQLPlus, SQLLoader, and Oracle Instant Client installation, configuration, and administration.
- Fundamental understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting federal financial management systems.
- Experience with automated data processing, validation, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Oracle database performance optimization and enterprise automation best practices.
