About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a talented CONOPS Lead to join their systems engineering team supporting multiple programs associated with the Space Development Agency. This critical initiative will provide communication, missile warning, missile tracking, and missile defense capabilities. The role involves developing cutting-edge technical capabilities for customers utilizing groundbreaking model-based systems engineering (MBSE), web-based documentation, and continuous integration continuous development (CI/CD) pipelines. As a CONOPS Lead, you will lead the development of the CONOPS, Design Description Document, and Operations Handbook using MBSE and new web-based documentation processes in an Agile work environment. You will also lead CONOPS Working groups to coordinate integrated solutions between customers, contractors, and industry partners, and lead the development of tools, processes, and procedures to automate the generation, test, and configuration management of operational and test command scripts. Additionally, you will develop innovative tools and methods for interfacing and automating tasks with Cameo MBSE software, GitLab, Jira, and other engineering applications, and develop new ways to present and visualize engineering data and documentation in a web-based environment. You will manage the CONOPS documents through the change control process, define and decompose operational, test, and calibration activities from the system to the component level, and ensure the requirements baseline captures all necessary functions. Coordination with Test and Command/Control teams to ensure test scripts and operational software accurately execute system functions, and with Flight Software and Database teams to ensure appropriate implementation and coverage of system CONOPS, will also be key responsibilities.
