About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. They are developing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for terminal guidance, long-range intelligence collection, precision navigation, and unsupervised autonomy. These systems, including Anvil, Altius, and Ghost, are designed for remote environments with limited user input, emphasizing reliability and autonomy. The company has developed an autonomy stack that manages user intent, edge-processed detections, and coordinated flight patterns for multiple assets. They are seeking systems engineers with experience in this domain to contribute to the design and management of next-generation flight vehicles. Success in this role requires familiarity with simulation and rapid prototyping for complex electro-mechanical and aero-performance design trades, as well as supporting the entire product lifecycle from development to production and sustainment.

Requirements

6+ years of post-grad industry experience, including but not limited to electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering.
A passion for systems design development, integration, and test.
Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience.
Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks using a common language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, etc.).
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
Must hold a U.S. Secret security clearance, or higher.
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for test planning and execution.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with complex robotic systems.
Familiarity with IP-Based networks.
Experience with mission systems, including communications systems and components.
Familiarity with aviation airworthiness considerations.

Responsibilities

Lead development for an end-to-end solution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture.
Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context.
Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
