About The Position

The Autonomous Maritimes Platforms Systems Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our team and become a member of a skilled cross functional team responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of advanced autonomous systems. As a member of our team, you will be on the cutting edge of design and integration of advanced maritime systems, embedded electronics, and autonomy. You will be working with a diverse set of talent across multiple engineering domains, fostering strong team collaboration to solve challenges and complex problems to meet our customer needs. You will be leveraging the Bluefin Robotics Autonomous Underwater Vehicle platform to design, develop, and test new novel concepts and mission solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Academic multi-discipline background in Autonomy, Mechanical Design, and Control Systems
  • Experience integrating assemblies and subsystems into system level solutions

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Proven communication and ability to interface with stakeholders
  • Strong academic background with applicable experiences related to the autonomy, navigation, controls, and robotics fields
  • Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicles (AUV/UUVs) technologies, principles, theories and concepts
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading challenging technical solutions
  • Collaborative team player eager to develop and grow working with mentors and subject matter experts
  • Fosters an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and other

Responsibilities

  • Leveraging the Bluefin Robotics Autonomous Underwater Vehicle platform to design, develop, and test new novel concepts and mission solutions
  • Requirements analysis, definition, management, validation and verification, test procedure creation and execution
  • Generation of technical engineer design products through use of applicable standards, best practices, and tools throughout the systems development life cycle.
