About The Position

The Autonomous Maritimes Platforms Systems Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our team and become a member of a skilled cross functional team responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of advanced autonomous systems. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
Academic multi-discipline background in Autonomy, Mechanical Design, and Control Systems
Experience integrating assemblies and subsystems into system level solutions
Proven communication and ability to interface with stakeholders
Strong academic background with applicable experiences related to the autonomy, navigation, controls, and robotics fields
Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicles (AUV/UUVs) technologies, principles, theories and concepts
Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading challenging technical solutions
Collaborative team player eager to develop and grow working with mentors and subject matter experts
Fosters an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and others

Responsibilities

Leveraging the Bluefin Robotics Autonomous Underwater Vehicle platform to design, develop, and test new novel concepts and mission solutions
Requirements analysis, definition, management, validation and verification, test procedure creation and execution
Generation of technical engineer design products through use of applicable standards, best practices, and tools throughout the systems development life cycle.
