About The Position

Responsible for reviewing customer requirements and providing technical support to the project management team. Responsible to closely monitor the optical standards / specifications and provide technical input to the related product development groups. Assist in the review and execution of test plans and test procedures to verify system requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Fiber optic installation, testing, splicing and troubleshooting.
  • Broad knowledge of integration and test requirements, digital communications system operations, applications, product features, functions, specifications, configurations, product life-cycle processes and knowledge of design theory, and architecture.
  • Knowledge of Optical Standards and technologies are essential.
  • Must be able to work in a multi-tasking environment and have good communications skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong writing skills
  • 3+ years Telecom Experience
  • High Reasoning Skills
  • Microsoft platform

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Implementation planning of network components of subsea cable systems (5%)
  • Knowledge of installation and in-station testing of Terminal Station and Outside Plant Equipment (30%)
  • Assist with Commissioning and Acceptance testing of subsea cable systems (30%)
  • Integrate with marine installation team during cable landings (15%)
  • Assist with the review of technical deliverables as they relate to compliance of specification, laws and regulations (10%)
  • Follow instruction from senior members and work together with our partners to streamline project goals and efficiencies (10%)
