About The Position

Wyetech is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong project management skills to provide engineering solutions and project management for data flows supporting tactical mission partners in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO. The successful candidate will be able to elicit and refine requirements, schedule work breakdown to deliverables, document artifacts, and provide roadmaps and schedules for implementing end-to-end data flows, including transformation into a standard data model. The individual will form good customer relationships and reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users. They will have a good understanding of the customer data flow architecture. They will work as a key contributor in an agile development environment. Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288: •(U) Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal; •(U) Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement; •(U) Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management; •(U) Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply. Capabilities: (U) Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288. (U) Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with any of the ISO/IEC 15288 processes. (U) Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas. (U) Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations. (U) Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas. (U) Perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products of either the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas. (U) Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design. (U) Perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products in each of the ISO/IEC 15288 Project and Technical Process Areas. (U) Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project. (U) Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project. (U) Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation. (U) Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to form good relationships with customers and mission partners.
  • Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements.
  • Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Good understanding of data processing capabilities.
  • Understand system-to-system connections for data flow processes.
  • Basic understanding of NiFi, should understand flow file attributes or be able to learn it quickly.
  • Understanding of SIGINT collection and analysis.
  • Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, Tactical Collection Capabilities, Military SIGINT architectures and related data flows.
  • Systems Integration Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems integration within a service industry environment.
  • United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare operations, sensors and related data.
  • Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP and XML.
  • Understanding of tactical datalinks and command and control signals.
  • Understanding of data architectures.
  • Experience with Intelligence Community.
  • Experience with DoD Service Intelligence Centers (such as NASIC).
  • Understanding of DoD - command structures and relationships.
