About The Position

This position involves analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The role includes analyzing system requirements and leading design and development activities. The Systems Engineer will guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. This role provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Responsibilities also include developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. The position guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. The Systems Engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The ultimate responsibility lies with the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
  • PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Scrum Certification
  • Experience in Collaborating w/Product Owner in preparation for SAFe/agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and Program Increment (PI) planning events

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Holds ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Acts as a Scrum Coach.
  • Collaborates with Product Owner in preparation for SAFe/agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and Program Increment (PI) planning events.
