About The Position

We're looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our Technical Services Department! In your role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and administrating information systems, servers, network components, and more! Functioning as a liaison between internal and external groups, there will be constant collaboration across our healthcare system in coordinating and providing technical solutions. You will be a proactive problem solver with excellent initiative skills, demonstrating a broad understanding of principles and theories, all while contributing to developing new ideas and concepts. Must be able to design and build platforms from scratch to ensure vendor independence. Must manage the full lifecycle: Research Analysis →Design Implementation →Operational Documentation. Typically focused on one major project at a time, balanced with daily operational "break-fix" (Heats) tickets and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree and experience requirement
  • 2 years of systems and infrastructure engineering and/or administration experience in a large enterprise environment required
  • Experience working with Windows, Linux, and AIX operating systems.
  • Experience Identifying & Accessing Management (IAM): Active Directory, ADFS, Entra ID, Entra ID SSO, and PKI
  • Experience working with Exchange SE, Exchange Online, and Teams
  • Experience working with File Servers, DFS, and OneDrive file services
  • Experience working with Azure, Azure DevOps, and Terraform
  • Clear and effective communication, specifically writing and documentation.
  • High initiative, independence, and detailed orientation.
  • Solution-oriented mindset (approaching problems with "Yes, with these tradeoffs" instead of "No").
  • Independent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
