About The Position

As part of DENSO’s North America Production Control Engineering (NAPCE) department, NAPCE serves DENSO’s North America Group Companies in support of Production Control & Logistics operations and systems. This role involves overseeing operations analysis, identifying best practices, creating user documentation, conducting training, leading inventory reduction activities, and providing system support for production control and logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or Supply Chain Management
  • 0-3 years of related experience
  • Improvement mindset based on the views of other DENSO Group Companies in North America from user's perspective to gain benefit
  • Strong ability to lead and negotiate with other DENSO Group Companies.
  • Strong documentation skills to assist DENSO Production Control standardization

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain management, customer ordering/shipping, inventory management, warehouse management and supply chain risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations analysis to identify areas where the user and/or system can be improved.
  • Identify best practices for standard jobs in North America with a focus to strengthen weak areas.
  • Identify training opportunities and system improvements required to share the best practice across DENSO North American plants.
  • Create and maintain user documentation (e.g. user manuals, training documents, etc.) for North America Production Control and Logistics operations and systems.
  • Conduct user training to improve user knowledge and maximize the users’ ability to effectively use the systems and processes.
  • Lead inventory reduction activities by monitoring inventory performance against targets, identifying excess inventory and root causes, driving process improvements to improve attainment and flow, coordinating cross-functional countermeasures, and ensuring inventory levels are aligned with customer demand, production stability, and company inventory objectives through regular review and continuous improvement activities.
  • Oversee Helpdesk type support for system issues related to user understanding.
  • Work closely with North America Information Systems and users to troubleshoot critical system issues (e.g. customer orders & shipping, supplier orders, etc).
