About The Position

We are seeking talented and driven individuals to join our team supporting software applications that improve the global workplace. Your problem-solving skills will have a direct impact on people and our customers. This role requires you to hit the ground running, with success defined by your ability to learn quickly and manage disparate and overlapping tasks. High-impact production issues often require coordination between multiple Development, Operations, and IT Support groups, providing exposure to a breadth of impact across various teams.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented, with superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong Linux & Networking Fundamentals.
  • Deep experience working with Linux, preferably in a large scale, distributed environment.
  • Understand networking technology and how servers and networks inter-relate.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodology and know how to use the right tool for the right job.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Must maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
  • Must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues.
  • Developing monitoring solutions.
  • Performing software maintenance and configuration.
  • Implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA).
  • Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges.
  • Working alongside development on AWS projects.
  • Updating/enhancing current software.
  • Automation of support processes.
  • Documentation of systems.
  • Regularly take part in deep-dive troubleshooting.
  • Conduct technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.
