About The Position

The System engineer will play a key role in designing, integrating, and supporting complex system components across our infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to system architecture, manage component lifecycles, develop and document solutions, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to deliver reliable, secure networks, telecommunications systems and business applications.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to produce technical documentation, including design documents test plans and implementation procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Lua, Ansible).
  • Experience designing, configuring, managing, and deploying IP networks (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016+.
  • Experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, VMware).
  • Experience integrating third‑party systems or vendor equipment.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • English required; French considered an asset.
  • Experience managing database infrastructure (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Active Directory deployments and administration.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.).
  • Telephony experience (VoIP, PBX, SBC, Analog).
  • Experience deploying, sizing, and managing server hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full component lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to system architecture design and support product prototyping and interoperability testing activities.
  • Analyze system specifications and translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Define and document system specifications, qualification tests, and validation procedures based on compliance needs, industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Select, qualify, and integrate third‑party hardware and software components.
  • Integrate, validate, and test complex system features.
  • Produce high‑quality technical design documentation, test plans, and implementation procedures.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to RCA investigations, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical teams across the organization to ensure successful delivery and support of system solutions.
