As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Requirements
- System Power Analysis & Optimization: Experience analyzing platform/system power, power-performance tradeoffs, battery life impacts, thermal constraints, and optimizing system-level behavior.
- AI Systems Architecture & Performance Analysis: Ability to understand AI workloads at the system level including memory, compute, power, performance, user experience, and platform requirements.
- Platform Validation, Debug & Automation: develop scripts/tools, perform board/platform-level debugging, use lab equipment, root-cause issues, and drive cross-functional feature validation.
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
- Debug techniques and methodologies
- Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
- Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies
Responsibilities
- Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives
- Develop and automate System Power Modeling
- Develop new Platform Management Framework feature sets
- Working with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
- Working closely with supporting technical teams
- Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
- Leading collaborative approaches with multiple teams
