About The Position

Fastenal is hiring a part-time Systems Control Analyst for its distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role oversees production systems and supports operations by maintaining and optimizing automated storage and retrieval systems, including mini-load and unit-load systems, to meet deadlines. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have proficient written and oral communication skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritization abilities.
Have strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.

Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen where applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Responsibilities

Monitor the efficiency and function of automated systems and ASRS.
Maintain the flow of product from the ASRS to downstream departments.
Analyze system and statistical patterns and identify opportunities for optimization.
Support picking operations throughout the distribution center.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Comply with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations.
Participate in activities and programs that support company health, safety, and sustainability objectives.
Learn, pass, and practice environmental health and safety training.
