About The Position

As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of a SOCOM customer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring deployable / remote kits are correctly configured. A fully competent hardware administrator will implement, install, configure, operate, maintain, update, and assist in management of distributed computing service operations processes and procedures. Responsible for Imaging, install/load, test, and configure images on various Configuration Items (PCs, Laptops, etc.). Support desktop imaging and configuration item installation and maintenance. Maintain system documentation and current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Control, disseminate and monitor ticket queues and facilitate resolution of tickets. Ensures timely receipt, acquisition, identification, documentation, maintenance, inventory, movement, and storage of property. Ensures proper disposition of obsolete and excess assets. Participates in the taking of physical inventories, and provides a quarterly inventory report.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT level II required
  • MCSA: Windows 10 or equivalent certification/experience required
  • TS/SCI required to start
  • US citizenship required
  • Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of information systems operations
  • Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system’s architecture
  • Knowledge of server virtualization
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Experience with configuration and management of Android and iOS operating system
  • Experience configuring, managing, and maintaining Windows client operating systems
