As a Systems Assistant Project Manager at Interstates, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager, field crews, and jobsite leadership to support project systems, coordination, documentation, and controls. You’ll help keep limited-energy projects organized, on track, and aligned with client expectations while taking on some of the toughest challenges in the industry. Requirements

  • Able to learn and apply limited-energy construction concepts, project requirements, and customer standards
  • Able to track and organize projects and prioritize work
  • Open to continuously adjusting project systems to plan and deliver projects successfully
  • Strong team building, interpersonal/verbal/written communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of clients, peers, and managers
  • Able to travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time, with our Omaha, NE location as your home base.
  • Expected to relocate anywhere in the US for your project
  • Will be on one project from start to finish
  • Normal Project lifespan is anywhere from 6 months - 3 years

  • Equivalent construction, project coordination, or limited-energy experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial and leadership functions on the project
  • Assist with the coordination of limited-energy work, including systems such as fire alarm, security, access control, communications, data, and other low-voltage systems
  • Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team
  • CPM schedule creation and updating/communicating
  • Last Planner/White Board crew scheduling
  • RFI's, submittals, meeting minutes, and other site communication
  • Act as a project analyst; assess project controls information and assist jobsite leadership in problem solving and alternate methods to achieve project success
  • Provide estimating take-offs and other support for analysis and change orders
  • Attend client meetings onsite and collaborate with trade contractors
  • Prepare information for, and participate in, monthly project reviews
  • Assist in procurement and expediting of materials and subcontracts
  • Promote the Interstates safety culture daily
