As a Systems Architect for Philips Ultrasound, you will help shape imaging platforms by integrating hardware, software, imaging, transducers, and clinical needs to create safe, reliable, and scalable solutions that advance clinical performance and care. The role is based in Cambridge, MA or Bothell, WA and is an office role. You will create and evolve architectures for diagnostic ultrasound imaging platforms, translate stakeholder needs into architecture drivers and measurable system requirements, and lead system-level trade studies. You will use modeling, prototyping, and experiments to reduce uncertainty; evaluate emerging technologies against product and clinical needs; and contribute to reusable platform enablers and technology roadmaps. You will define integration and verification strategies, maintain design and requirement integrity across disciplines, communicate architecture decisions and evidence, and mentor engineers in systems thinking and engineering rigor. The position calls for a Master’s degree in a related discipline, with a PhD preferred, and at least five years of industry and/or academic experience in ultrasound system architecture, system design, hardware engineering, or equivalent.
