About The Position

The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for a Systems Architect to support our Maryland Customer for cross domain solutions. This role applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The Systems Architect will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. They will communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. This position holds responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288. This includes Technical Process Areas such as Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal. It also covers Project Process Areas like Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement. Furthermore, it encompasses Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Areas including Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management, as well as Agreement Process Areas like Acquisition and Supply. The role involves assisting in developing new or innovative approaches to technical or engineering issues, evaluating their suitability for project implementation, and supervising or coordinating the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project. The Systems Architect will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications, and guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They will develop technical documentation and system architecture and design documentation. The position requires ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Security Clearance
  • High School diploma with twenty-five (25) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of experience.
  • Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.
  • Related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.

  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
