About The Position

Leidos is seeking a results-driven Systems Architect to join the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) team at Fort Meade, MD. This role is critical for national security efforts, contributing to the Department of Defense's lead organization for enterprise-level systems engineering and architecture for NC3. The team transforms mission and operational requirements into effective solutions and capabilities under the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). This is a Mission Essential contract requiring performance under all circumstances to achieve DoD component missions. As a Systems Architect on the Enterprise Architecture Team, you will develop Fit-For-Purpose enterprise level architecture viewpoints using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) based on Authoritative Source of Truth (ASoT) to support engineering analysis and data-driven decision-making for the modernization and evolution of NC3 capabilities. Requirements

Top Secret/SCI clearance (mandatory).
BA or BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or educational equivalent.
5+ years in establishing system information requirements.
5+ years in designing architecture – including software, hardware and communications – to support total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
5+ years in evaluating problems of workflows and organization and developing appropriate corrective actions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MBSE, and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira).
Strong written/verbal skills for technical documentation and presentations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in an agile, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

The Open Group Framework (TOGAF) certification.
DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) certification.
Experience with systems engineering and enterprise architecture for high assurance communications systems.
Background in NC3 architecture/performance analysis and engineering design.
Knowledge of National Leadership Command Capability or Senior Leader Command, Control, and Communications Systems.
Experience collaborating with NC3 stakeholders including Air Force, Navy, NC3 Enterprise Center, USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, Joint Staff, and OSD.

Shape enterprise architecture governance — Help develop, maintain, and execute the architecture governance framework that guides how mission-critical systems evolve across the enterprise.
Be the go-to architecture expert — Serve as a subject matter expert who advises senior leaders, delivers data-driven recommendations, and helps translate strategic objectives into sound architectural decisions.
Collaborate across high-impact teams — Partner with architecture teams and the Data Governance Group to capture user requirements and use cases, and to shape the data standards and processes that power a modern Digital Mission Engineering Environment.
Design and publish system-of-systems architectures — Build, baseline, and continuously update enterprise architectures and detailed architecture artifacts using leading digital engineering tools and libraries.
Turn authoritative data into actionable architecture — Ingest, reformat, validate, and publish "As-Is" architecture products, ensuring the enterprise always has an accurate, trusted picture of its systems.
