About The Position

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Systems Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data ecosystem. In this role, you'll help connect and optimize the flow of information across clinical, financial, human resources, revenue cycle, and operational systems, ensuring leaders and teams have access to trusted data when they need it most. As a technical leader, you'll oversee enterprise data architecture, integrations, and analytics initiatives that support patient care, research, business operations, and strategic decision-making. Your work will help ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and healthcare technology. The starting annual salary for this position is $130,222 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • Leading technical projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience with development of multi-server software applications, web services, and advanced server or database administration; or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience with development of multi-server software applications, web services, and advanced server or database administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for enterprise data architecture, integrations, and data management solutions.
  • Design and optimize data pipelines that move information across clinical, operational, financial, and workforce systems.
  • Oversee enterprise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and ensure data is transferred accurately, securely, and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data models, reporting datasets, semantic layers, and data virtualization solutions.
  • Partner with business leaders, reporting teams, and technical stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Establish and promote best practices for data governance, validation, reconciliation, and quality management.
  • Ensure consistency and reliability of enterprise data used for reporting, analytics, regulatory requirements, and operational decision-making.
  • Support and enhance business intelligence and analytics platforms that provide insights across the organization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Roswell Park's enterprise data strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on complex data architecture and integration initiatives.
