About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Systems Architect Principal to join their national intelligence program in Northern Virginia. This role serves as the primary visionary and strategist to transition the client’s Enterprise IT Infrastructure to a cutting-edge, resilient, scalable, and self-healing infrastructure environment. The position involves defining the multi-year architectural vision for enterprise infrastructure services, including compute, storage, network, security, and cloud services. It also requires defining technical standards, system architectures, and integration strategies to meet business objectives. The architect will collaborate with industry partners to advance the autonomous infrastructure system vision, lead the shift toward cloud-native architectures while optimizing on-premises edge computing and private cloud footprints, and apply Digital Engineering principles to streamline service delivery. Key responsibilities include implementing automated provisioning, monitoring, and incident response frameworks, driving initiatives to monitor and reduce cloud consumption costs and technical debt, and translating complex technical requirements into business outcomes for executives. Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements. This is for a Proposal Effort.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to obtain a Poly Clearance.
  • Minimum of 16 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 14 years relevant experience with a Masters. 4 years experience may be substituted for a Degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Senior or Principal Architecture role.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact solutions.
  • Excellent ability to translate strategic intent into concrete technical designs and inspire teams to innovate while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.
  • CISSP or Security+ Certification required.
  • US Citizenship is required to hold the security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, TOGAF/SAFE, ITIL v 4.0 Foundations
