About The Position

Astronics Connectivity Systems & Certification (Astronics CSC) designs, engineers, manufactures and certifies reliable digital in-flight entertainment and cabin management systems (IFE/CMS) for the corporate, private and VIP aircraft industry. Our custom digital applications have been installed and commissioned on a wide range of VIP/VVIP narrowbody and widebody platforms in addition to numerous private and utility jet, turboprop, and helicopter models. Astronics CSC is a world leader in designing and integrating custom digital IFE/CMS systems. Our product line covers every facet of in-flight entertainment and cabin management control including: entertainment, lighting, call, temperature, audio/video on demand, tablet integration, real-time 3-D moving map, and much more. We also offer customized graphical user interfaces accessible on our touchscreens, allowing seamless and intuitive control of the IFE/CMS system. While this role is primarily onsite at our Kent office, we offer flexible work day start and end times, and additional options to help you maintain work life balance - choose between five-8 hour days or four-9 hour days with a half day Friday. Summary Reporting to the Software Manager, the candidate will work with Systems and Software Engineers to develop both manual and automated test plans to ensure the quality, functionality and reliability of VIP/VVIP In Flight Entertainment and Cabin Management Systems (IFE/CMS).

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering degree.
• 5+ years in system testing preferably developing test automation for network-based systems

Responsibilities

• Read technical specs to configure and hookup complex systems in lab environment
• Troubleshooting, debugging, testing existing software
• Test system functionality and write up defects in JIRA
• Verification of software functionality based on tests provided by Software Developer
• Verification of Software fixes/closing out of JIRAs
• Python Automation scripting for system verification
• Write Manual Test Procedures based on requirements and verify in SIL
• Write Automated Test Procedures based on requirements and verify in SIL
• Write Manual and Automated test procedures for Production Requirements
