About The Position

A Systems Analyst works under general supervision having an overall broad depth of hospital and information systems technology. A person in this position can conduct a business requirement reviews, includes business and user needs, documents requirements, formulates business requirements, generates systems scope and objectives for moderately complex information systems, may make suggestions for workflow and process improvements, may modify, test and implement 3rd party software or create simple programmatic/scripted solutions, may lead small to mid-size teams on small to mid-size projects (40-80hrs) involving less-complex systems with low integration. Fully documents requirements, testing, code/script, processes and workflow. A Systems Analyst in this position is expected to guide and advise Associate Systems Analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis)
  • Or 2-year Associates Degree with 2 years of relevant experience (IS/Business/ or Healthcare)
  • Or Highschool Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Information Systems (IS) and in healthcare
  • Working knowledge of MS Desktop products
  • Knowledge of Client/Server applications specifically: PointClickCare, Natus
  • General understanding of common programming languages (like C++ and Java)
  • General understanding of IT Selection and Implementation Methodology
  • General understanding of Software development best practices
  • General understanding of required technical documentation including flowcharts
  • General understanding of interpreting vendor technical requirements
  • General understanding of relational database concepts
  • General understanding of Operating Systems (such as AIX, Windows, MAC and Linux)
  • General understanding of types of hardware, storage and computing capacity of computers
  • General understanding of back up processes and disaster recovery
  • General understanding of common technical terminology
  • General understanding of computer security procedures and protocols
  • General understanding of network topologies
  • General understanding of report writing tools
