About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for a Systems Analyst with AWS Connect experience. The role involves leading complex software development projects, collaborating with business partners to develop software specifications, and leading the selection and implementation of software packages. The analyst will also be responsible for the integration of applications with complex interfaces, providing 24x7 support for critical applications, and coordinating maintenance activities. The position requires developing project plans, creating and reviewing technical design specifications, and driving continuous process improvement for the SDLC, maintenance, application support, and technology architecture. The role may also involve functioning as a Technical Lead on projects and overseeing technical staff, as well as mentoring junior staff and developing standard practices within the team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline.
1 or more professional certifications in specific job-related disciplines.
10+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
AWS Connect experience is a must have requirement including implementation, development, and configuration.
Experience in Python coding/programming.
Expert knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies.
Develops project plans for small projects; partners with Project Managers to develop project plans for large projects.
Assists manager with project scheduling and resource management.
Creates and reviews technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology Architecture.
Drives continuous process improvement for SDLC, maintenance, application support, and technology architecture.
USC or GC ONLY work authorization.

Responsibilities

Leads complex software development projects.
Collaborates with Business Systems Analysts and/or Business Partners to develop software specifications.
Leads selection and implementation of software packages for which in-depth configuration and integration is required; drives substantial interaction with vendor resources.
Leads the integration of applications with complex interfaces based on specifications provided.
Provides 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for one or more applications classified as niche, core, or mission-critical.
Coordinates maintenance activities which may include release schedules for one or more functional areas.
Supports the request and analysis phases of SDLC by producing required documentation and estimates; manages and oversees junior staff in the production of deliverables.
Executes the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables; manages and oversees junior staff in the production of deliverables.
Participates on an Application Development and Support team as well as project teams under the direction of their manager or project managers.
May function as Technical Lead on projects and oversee technical staff; may lead multiple concurrent projects.
Subject matter expert in multiple business areas, including those relevant to projects and application support assignments.
Considered a subject matter expert in their technical discipline; mentors and directs junior staff.
Develops and drives standard practices within their team.
