About The Position
This role involves translating user needs into detailed system specifications, analyzing and evaluating existing and proposed systems, and documenting clinical/business processes. The Systems Analyst will also assist in vendor selection, investigate alternative solutions, support system installation, perform configuration analysis for smaller projects, analyze system problems and modifications, and coordinate system implementations and upgrades.
Requirements
- Required H.S. Diploma or GED
- Required 4 years' experience in information systems
- Bachelor’s degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience
- Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
- Up to one (1) year of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for the one (1) year of required information systems experience on a month-to-month basis

Responsibilities
- Translates users’ needs into detailed requirement specifications
- Assists users in determining specific requirements to increase system effectiveness
- Analyze and evaluate existing and /or proposed systems
- Document the “as is” the “to be” clinical/business processes
- Assists in vendor analysis and selection
- Investigate alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from vendor analysis/evaluations
- Supports the system installation through the implementation cycle
- Performs configuration analysis for system design associated with small and less complex projects
- Analyzes system problems and modifications
- Coordinates implementation and upgrades of systems
