About The Position

Baylor University is seeking a Systems Analyst within the ITS Student Systems group to support the mission of the University by providing complex system support that includes maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, vision, and comprehensive management of Campus Living & Learning (CL&L) housing technology systems and services. While directly reporting to the Director of Student Systems, this position works closely with CL&L’s Associate Director of Housing Administration who provides business priorities, operational requirements and strategic initiatives for housing-related projects. Work will be performed in an approved remote/hybrid work environment that may include travel to Waco for on-campus/in-person activities/meetings as required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of APIs, HTML, SQL and Integrations
  • All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of StarRez, CS Gold, Qualtrics, and Canvas
  • Experience managing software system change and maintaining user security

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive management of StarRez Student Housing Management Software. This work includes supporting and improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence of the software
  • Work with StarCare to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the StarRez system
  • Configure and maintain integrations between StarRez, Banner, Slate, CS Gold, and Facility Management systems (TMA)
  • Research emerging housing technology trends
  • Recommend and implement new technologies to improve the residential experience
  • Develop and maintain CL&L and ITS technical documentation
  • Offer reporting support from StarRez Web, Banner and other relevant databases
  • Utilize CS Gold (campus card management system) to manage access to CL&L’s residential communities
  • Provide after hours on-call support to troubleshoot and resolve residential access issues
  • On-call responsibilities may increase during peak operational periods, including residence hall opening and closing activities
  • Provide training for the ongoing development and implementation of CL&L housing systems to professional and student CL&L staff
  • Be available to evaluate and respond to housing system outages and other systems related issues
  • Participate in relevant divisional and departmental meetings, trainings, activities, and initiatives
  • Serve as the liaison between Baylor’s ITS and CL&L on housing initiatives requiring Baylor ITS implementation, support, and governance
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
