Job Summary Promotes the effective use of HIT systems Assists with analyzing, testing, and implementation of supported system changes Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills Assures duties assigned are completed on time Routinely analyzes relevant clinical system's performance and use Ensures completion and effectiveness of assessment, planning, implementation, training, evaluation, and optimization of technology related projects within the environment Provides coordination of technology related needs within the healthcare environment Promotes improvement by encouraging questions and investigating best practices with respect to the impact of technology within the organization Provide input into the information systems budget and activities, recommends information system projects to improve operations of the organization. Works independently and in a team setting Works closely with other HIT Analysts and Technical resources for implementations, upgrades, and day-to-day support needs related to supported systems Knowledge of inbound and outbound interfaces (HL7 knowledge a plus) Provides day-to day support of EHR processes Ability to learn and support new applications Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation Knowledge of clinical processes, and various clinical systems Works as a liaison between HIT and other departments Collaborates with department leads regarding new system/product implementations Responds to incidents requiring diagnosis of trouble tickets On-call as needed in support of HIT clinical/financial systems
