The mission of the Neurological Clinical Research Institute (NCRI) is to accelerate translational research in neurological disorders through initiating and testing novel therapies by custom-designing research protocols, by bringing efficacy strategies and infrastructure to clinical research and implementing observational and interventional clinical trials. To empower the NCRI in its mission, and to capture and manage information from clinical research, The NCRI develops, maintains, and deploys several software platforms and programs. Working independently under the minimal supervision of the Director, Clinical Bioinformatics of the NCRI, the Systems Analyst will: * Acquire detailed knowledge of the System to serve as an in-house expert and to triage issues and enhancement requests from the professional and support staff * Provide second-tier support in using the System to the NCRI personnel * Develop specification requirements for new System modules * Support internal or sponsor -initiated audits * Create training programs for the various modules of the System * Install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain the System The Neurology Clinical Research Institute is looking for a motivated team player with the ability to provide a high level of services while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent project management and communication skills, as well as being able to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks is required.

Requirements

  • BS degree is required; a concentration the degree in computer science or information technology is a plus.
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with computer systems or customer support is a must.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial systems is required.
  • Knowledge of database programming is required.
  • Fluency with computers and a working knowledge of database design and programming is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to create and deliver presentations are required.
  • Experience in the development, support or operation of software applications 2-3 years required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
  • If utilizing Epic, you must be able to obtain the required certifications as outlined by program requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PharmaENGINE™ system is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAS® is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of trial design, data management, and compliance with federal regulations issues is highly desirable.
  • Experience with business analyses and user training is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL is desirable.
  • Must follow a structured approach to problem solving and have a proven understanding of analytical and quantitative methods.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire detailed knowledge of the System to serve as an in-house expert and to triage issues and enhancement requests from the professional and support staff
  • Provide second-tier support in using the System to the NCRI personnel
  • Develop specification requirements for new System modules
  • Support internal or sponsor -initiated audits
  • Create training programs for the various modules of the System
  • Install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain the System
  • Report and track issues and enhancement requests the System into a database
  • Release new versions of the system for testing, training, and deployment
  • Be responsible for the System releases, installations, and upgrades
  • Develop training programs for the System
  • Support internal or sponsor -initiated audits
  • Serve as a liaison between the software development team and the coordination center personnel
  • Update electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) using PharmaARCHITECT™ system
  • Create test scenarios and develop test scripts
  • Execute testing in an integrated environment while incorporating quality management concepts.
  • Coordinate testing and validation procedures between NCRI and software developers
  • Develop user and functional specifications requirements for the System and specific clinical trials
  • Develop and implement training programs for end-users
  • Oversee system support and track user-reported issues for the System
  • Accepts responsibilities for special projects as requested
