About The Position

TCS is searching for a Systems Administrator to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks. This is an in-office position. Work from home is not available.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 2 years of experience OR Master's degree with 0 years of experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience with automation and test cases and RMF requirements
Must have a DoD 8140 certification (ex: Security + CE)
U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience with RHEL and Cisco Networks
Experience with Red Hat Satellite servers and configuration
Familiarity with Network Technologies and Cybersecurity
Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Linux Operating System environments
Experience with scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
Experience with hardware installation and maintenance including firmware upgrades
Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Support and maintain a high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies
Manage and maintain storage and backup systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions
Perform regular data backups and recovery operations
Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans
Collaborate with other IT team members to support the overall infrastructure
Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies
Document system configurations, procedures, and policies
