About The Position

Platform Accounting Group is undergoing a significant transformation, transitioning from legacy on-premises infrastructure to a modern, cloud-first Microsoft stack. As the company expands through acquisitions, a Systems Administrator is needed to spearhead this transition across more than 50 offices nationwide. This role involves advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of existing systems, with a primary focus on modernization and proactive infrastructure projects rather than routine break-fix support. The position requires hands-on work with Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Azure, including deploying modern device management solutions, migrating identities, and phasing out outdated infrastructure. This role is ideal for individuals motivated by modernization efforts and the tangible impact of their work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive IT experience.
  • Microsoft 365: Deep experience including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Intune & Autopilot: Proven experience deploying apps, managing compliance, and configuring Autopilot profiles.
  • Entra ID: Experience with Entra Connect, migrating workstations to Entra Join, and managing conditional access policies.
  • Entra Identity Management: Experience managing users, groups, roles, conditional access policies and configure SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC) within Entra ID.
  • Automation: Proficiency with RMM tools and PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Networking: General knowledge of networking and security principles including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VoIP.
  • Communication: Excellent work ethic and communication skills to work effectively with a team in a dynamically changing environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime and after-hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
  • Travel to various offices and locations across the United States will be required (approximately 4–5 times per year; subject to change based on business needs).
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and work in tight spaces (e.g., occasional hardware installation).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (but not required).
  • Previous L2+ MSP experience is highly preferred.
  • Azure: Hands-on experience creating and managing storage accounts and Azure resources.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including complex tenant migrations for new firm acquisitions.
  • Create and manage Azure storage accounts and resources; administer Entra ID, including Entra Connect for hybrid environments, Entra Join migrations, and user profile migrations.
  • Deploy and manage applications and policies via Intune; configure and deploy Windows Autopilot for modern device provisioning and lifecycle management.
  • Lead the integration of third-party applications into Entra ID for Single Sign-On (SSO) and centralized identity management.
  • Support and maintain legacy Windows Server and LAN/WAN environments while leading the transition to a modern Microsoft stack.
  • Manage and deploy office firewall and network configurations; coordinate with local staff or contractors for physical hardware installations and site migrations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Service Desk, focusing on complex cloud-identity, M365, and modern networking issues.
  • Lead acquisition support by migrating legacy systems and data to cloud-native solutions.
  • Manage service providers, cloud environments, hardware inventory, procurement, and software licensing.
  • Assist with cloud-based VoIP and various other phone deployments.
  • Work with the Security Team to maintain network security applications (EDR) and complete compliance projects.
