About The Position

Peraton is seeking an entry level Systems Administrator to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions. This position performs Shift work to cover the 24X7 Operations.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.
  • No minimum years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree or Minimum of 4 years relevant experience with no degree.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other co-workers, and management.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS.
  • Ability to learn new processes, systems, and technologies, as assigned.
  • Current CISSP or Security + Certification.
  • US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT I or DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification.
  • Network Experience: Cisco Packet Tracer or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user technical support to all clients.
  • Provide technical support for computers and associated networks.
  • Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors as assigned.
  • Perform basic system administrator functions such as network user creation and password resets.
  • Escalate issues quickly and efficiently in accordance with Technical Impact Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain network diagrams and circuit records, maintain trouble logs, and instruct users in the use of computers.
  • Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users and make recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
  • Perform basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.
  • Maintain equipment, systems, and conduct testing and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot to proactively resolve issues and their root causes and respond to technical requests for support.
  • Assess ongoing user experience and take action to resolve issues or to make enhancements.
  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance processes, procedures, test cases, test results, issue resolutions, performance analysis, and user guidelines/ instructions documentation.
  • Demonstrate and maintain strong customer service skills.
