About The Position

This is a temporary project position for a Systems Administrator in Tallahassee, FL, with an estimated duration of 12 months and possible extensions. The role requires 100% of the time to be spent at the Client’s site, with no telecommuting or remote work. Candidates must be able to relocate as required. The position involves supporting and expanding FDOT infrastructure, coordinating server configurations, making recommendations for upgrades, and monitoring systems for security, availability, and performance.

Requirements

Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
Experience with Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022. (2+ years)
Experience with IIS Administration. (2+ years)
Experience in network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions. (2+ years)
Experience in AWS cloud systems. (2+ years)
Experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration. (3+ years)
Experience in information systems engineering or a related field (5+ years)
Experience in networking principles and cloud-based network architectures.
Experience with AWS Services.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Services.
Experience with Microsoft Server products.
Experience with Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu).
Experience with IT infrastructure and application development technology and architectures.
Experience with Linux administration, including Linux patching.
Experience with assessment and analytical processes and practices.
Experience in strategic planning.
Experience in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
Experience in system administration and hosting across a wide range of solutions.
Experience in managing Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
Experience in overseeing and configuring Azure DevOps organizational settings

Responsibilities

Support and expand FDOT infrastructure.
Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties (SDC, FDOT, and contractors).
Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
