As a Systems Administrator (internally known as Construction Technology Analyst) for PCL Constructors Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, you'll have the opportunity to support critical construction operations by delivering reliable, innovative technology solutions that enable teams to build the communities where we live and work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in computer technology or a related discipline.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
  • Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Co-op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases.
  • District jobsite setup and turndown, including remote support.
  • Delivers technical training and other knowledge resources.
  • Administers and monitors district office and construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation, and responds to issues.
  • Accurate and timely logging of problems, and resolutions to problems, in problem-management database.
  • Provides implementation support on corporate and regional initiatives.
