About The Position

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a System Administrator to support our contract at the IRSCI in 100% Remote position. We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure for IRSCI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of servers, systems, networks, and security platforms while providing technical support to internal teams. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining secure and efficient IT operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Team player with a customer-service mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, VMware, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with endpoint management and security tools
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environments
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitor network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers)
  • Ensure system security through access controls, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures
  • Support IT projects including migrations and cloud deployments
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support as needed
