About The Position

This position requires candidates to provide design, installation, testing, and sustainment of networked systems, including communication nodes, automated systems, and associated equipment. It is not a remote position and requires in-person attendance in Quantico, Virginia.

Requirements

  • US Citizen (required)
  • Active DoD Top Secret Security clearance (or equivalent Tier 5 security investigation) with Special Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility
  • IAT Level II certification (Security+)
  • Microsoft certifications: Exam MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) and Exam MD-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator)
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Installing, testing, and sustaining IT equipment and software in networked environments
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Supporting the administration of fiber channel routers and switches
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Assisting with the installation of new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving hardware/software system performance and availability issues and collaborating with appropriate network or product owners for problem resolution
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: User account management
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Vendor coordination management
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Systems testing (integration, vulnerability, performance)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Developing/maintaining IT system documentation
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Supporting the connectivity to, and update verification from automated system updating/patching services such as, Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with: Developing/updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior uniformed military experience (honorably discharged)
  • System Administration experience in multi-domain environments and security enclaves
  • Working knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes including Authority to Operate (ATO) process and security requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the installation, testing and sustainment of external network integrations
  • Identifying system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate Network Owner for problem resolution
  • Assisting with the installation of new cabling, equipment, associated hardware and software to extend and enhance existing services
  • Establishing new user accounts, configuration & support for laptops, and the configuration/adjustment/maintenance of commercial cell phone assets and remote email services, assist users with remote/VPN access
  • Arranging and coordinating with hardware maintenance personnel for the repair of IT equipment
  • Troubleshooting and assisting with software and hardware problems
  • Assisting in maintenance of the Configuration Baseline for laptops and workstations
  • Assisting with maintenance and inventory of voice, VTC’s, printers, audio/visual equipment, and other IT devices
  • Testing and documenting communications architecture components
  • Assisting with administration of network storage arrays and email archiving system
  • Supporting the Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS)
  • Assisting with the administration of the Storage Area Network (SAN), fiber channel routers and switches
  • Operating and maintaining network management systems to include primary and limited functional backup network operations centers and in-band/out-of-band network management systems
  • Assisting with the upkeep, organization and cleanliness of the server room and associated network closets
  • Assisting with engineering and design requirements for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to include Authority to Operate (ATO) development and security requirements
  • Assisting with updating operating procedures
  • Assisting with escorting third-party visitors to the facility
