About The Position

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for their Pittsburgh office. This role involves maintaining and monitoring servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure, as well as administering Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity/security controls. The Systems Administrator will also support networking infrastructure, oversee monitoring systems, backup validation, and disaster recovery readiness, and provide Tier 3 support. The company is an employee-owned (ESOP) firm providing a comprehensive range of construction management services nationwide.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems/infrastructure admin experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID/M365
• Strong knowledge of networking infrastructure
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and change management
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience in midsize enterprise environments preferred
• Knowledge of backup/monitoring/DR tools, security collaboration, and PowerShell automation preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor servers, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity/security controls
• Support firewalls, switches, wireless, and site-to-site connectivity
• Oversee monitoring systems, backup validation, and disaster recovery readiness
• Provide Tier 3 support, root-cause analysis, and guidance to Helpdesk staff
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and procedures
