About The Position

ITC is a Woman Owned Small Business delivering exceptional consultation to the U.S. Government in Systems/Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Solutions, Mission Operations/INTEL Analysis, and Management Services in order to enable our customers to solve the most challenging problems. With continued growth comes opportunity, and we are currently searching for a Top-Secret SCI with polygraph-cleared Mid-Level Systems Administrator.

Requirements

  • Requires TS/SCI with FS Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • 10 years' experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
  • Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
  • Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
  • Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
  • Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)

Nice To Haves

  • Syslog/NxLog
  • Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
  • Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements and updates to improve reliability, security, and performance.
  • Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
  • Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
  • Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
  • Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
  • Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
  • Apply patches and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot server issues.
  • Administer customer accounts
  • Deploy monitoring tools.
  • Deploy applications and tools.
  • Assist with escalated customer tickets.
  • Installation and cabling of equipment
