About The Position

The Opportunity: Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We’re looking for a system administrator who is fluent in Windows Server Administration, has basic networking knowledge, and exhibits strong communication skills to help us further enhance our remote development lab capabilities. As a system administrator on our team, you’ll facilitate account setup and management, system configuration management, and security best-practice implementation. You’ll learn how to help clients overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management. You’ll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll combine your technical knowledge and communication skills to turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience with VMWare Horizon and enhance Scripting and Automation to foster the automation of routine tasks and to help streamline processes. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Requirements

  • Experience with Windows Server Administration, configuring and managing Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience with Active Directory, including setting up and managing domain controllers
  • Experience with security concepts and best practices, including user permissions, access controls, and encryption
  • Experience with VMware for ESXi Management, vCenter, and Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Knowledge of setting up and managing file shares on Windows servers
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for monitoring system performance and making necessary optimizations
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows servers and VMware infrastructure
  • Ability to analyze network infrastructure and leverage emerging technologies to deploy enhanced capabilities
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Scripting and Automation tools to automate routine tasks and streamline processes
  • Knowledge of CISCO networking, hardware and configuration
  • Knowledge of backup strategies and recovery procedures for both Windows servers and virtual machines
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, document processes and provide support
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ Certification
