About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking a System Administrator to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role involves managing IT system infrastructure, supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices including client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices. The System Administrator will provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues. Responsibilities include escalating and communicating status to management and internal customers, supporting the dispatch system and hardware problems, and remaining involved in resolution processes. The role also involves configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining network component integrity, and implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components.
  • Implements operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
