About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and related infrastructure. You will also be conducting technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. In this role you will report to the Manager of IT Infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years, hands-on systems administration experience in an enterprise environment
  • Proven ownership of tasks from start to finish while keeping all stakeholders updated on progress
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills by providing accurate information, and responding to requests on a timely basis
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and exercise good judgment regarding technical and interpersonal issues even when all facts are not known
  • A proven professional with excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and time management skills
  • Strong aptitude for documenting solutions, procedures, and processes
  • Strong interpersonal communication skill to work effectively with others to coordinate activities and arrive at mutual decisions

  • Occasional travel to data center, needs to be located in greater Phoenix area

Responsibilities

  • Daily system administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the Microsoft server, enterprise storage, VM infrastructures, and Office 365
  • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring problems. Responsible for escalating, as necessary, to internal and/or external support resources while retaining ownership for driving to final resolution
  • Research, analysis, selection and procurement of solutions, equipment, and software
  • Manage projects related to implementation of new solutions and upgrades of existing solutions
  • Adhere to change control procedures when implementing changes to the production environment
  • Periodic reporting to support capacity planning, performance measuring/tuning, and compliance
  • Maintain, test, and enforce corporate-wide hardware and software standards
  • After hours support as needed to sustain systems and service levels
  • Resolve escalations from the Service Desk related to systems issues
  • Other responsibilities as requested by leadership
