About The Position

This position is for a Systems Administrator with a Florida Government Agency. The role involves managing Microsoft Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows servers, Linux servers, and cloud resources (Azure and AWS). The administrator will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes for optimization, analyzing resource performance, creating technical documentation, and troubleshooting server issues. Collaboration with data center staff, OIT, and users is also a key part of the role, as is administering Azure infrastructure security and application access.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of Windows server administration experience with 3 years administering Windows 2016 and newer
  • 3 years of Microsoft Azure and Cloud experience and 2 years of AWS experience
  • 5 years administering Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users
  • 3 years of Linux server management experience
  • Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts
  • Proven track record installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications within virtual and cloud environments
  • MUST already reside in the SE US
  • ONLY USC or GC no other Visas

Responsibilities

  • Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities
  • Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and resources
  • Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation
  • Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes
  • Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users
  • Assist Azure application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows and Linux server issues with minimal impact on users
  • Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities
