About The Position

We are seeking a junior Systems Engineer to support and advance our IT infrastructure. This role supports a dynamic environment that integrates closely with the broader enterprise. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, upgrading, and evolving platforms and applications, along with support to related infrastructure. You will also act as a technical advisor and liaison to leadership and project teams, helping bridge the gap between technical requirements gathering and project execution. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - are essential for effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Employment for this position is contingent upon customer acceptance and successful security crossover. Final selection, start date, and offer of employment are subject to contract terms and client approval.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate business and technical needs to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and actionable documentation, including recommendations, technical assessments, and test plans
  • A self-starter with a proactive, strategic mindset
  • Demonstrates professionalism, patience, and diplomacy in interactions with colleagues, customers, and partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as part of a team translating customer technical design requirements into deliverables
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) principles and organizational confidentiality requirements
  • General understanding of IP networking, including switching, subnets, and VLANs
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of hardware infrastructure, including servers, blade chassis, fiber channel, and SANs

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support operations and system management
  • Experience with data center and telecom infrastructure
  • Experience supporting daily operations and incident response, including backup and recovery support
  • Experience tracking and maintaining inventory of IT supplies
